Well Woman Clinic & Cervical Smear Tests
Cervical Smear Tests are carried out by the Practice Nurse every day by mutually agreed appointment only. Cervical smears are recommended every three years for women aged 25 to 49 years and every five years from 50 to 64 years of age.
A comprehensive service is available within normal surgery times. Female GP â€“ Dr Singh provides IUCD (coil) fitting and removal and long acting contraceptive implant insertion and removal by mutual agreement.
Vaccinations and Immunisations
It is important that your children are fully immunised against all childhood diseases. The practice nurse will immunise all children phone the surgery on 0151 295 8810 to make an appointment with her on any day that is best for your family.
Are you up-to-date with your Tetanus and Polio vaccinations? If you require routine vaccinations and travel immunisations please make arrangements to see the Practice Nurse.
Child Health Surveillance

Asthma & C.O.P.D. Clinic
This is provided by the Practice Nurse every day by mutually agreed appointment. This clinic is to train the patients to record peak flow meter readings, proper usage of inhalers, and to recognise when urgent medical attention is required. It also provides the opportunity to participate and understand self-management of asthma.
The aim of this clinic is to maintain blood sugar as normal as possible and to prevent/delay or ameliorate complications. It also provides initial education about diabetes, dealing with hypo attacks, self-injection of insulin, and blood/urine testing.
Coronary Heart Disease Clinic
The aim of this clinic is to identify contributory risk factors for heart disease and help you to reduce the risk of a heart attack.
